Creepy Jar publishes its preliminary financial data for the first half of 2024

In the first half of 2024, Creepy Jar generated over PLN 14.8 million in sales revenues and PLN 6.1 million in net profit – according to the company's preliminary financial results.

Green Hell's gross sales by volume in the first half of 2024 on the PC/Steam, PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store platforms (versions of the game for which the Company holds publishing rights) amounted to 857 thousand copies, with 104 thousand copies on PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

Based on the preliminary sales data available as of 12 August 2024, the estimated gross sales of Green Hell on the a/m platforms since the beginning of the year amounted to 1.035 thousand copies, with 130 thousand copies for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

In the first half of 2024, the company generated PLN 14.8 million in sales revenues. The decrease in revenues from the sale of the Green Hell game by 26% y/y is due to the natural aging cycle of the product. Net profit in the first half of 2024 amounted to PLN 6.1 million compared to PLN 12.8 million a year earlier (a decrease of 52%). The indicated decrease in revenues has reduced the Company’s net profit margin to 41%. In addition, in the first half of 2024, the Company recognised the non-cash cost of the 2023-2025 Incentive Scheme of over PLN 2.4 million (the cost of the Incentive Scheme was not included in the results of the first half of 2023).

In the first half of 2024, Creepy Jar made two big expansion packs to Green Hell available to PC/Steam players: #19 Flamekeeper and #20 Antetaer. Currently, the studio is finishing work on another free update – #21 Decorations, which will allow players to decorate the bases they build. In recent months, Creepy Jar has been working on developing Green Hell for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. It will be released on 14 August 2024, and the game will include expansion packs available only on PC. On the other hand, for owners of the previous generation version of Green Hell, the studio has prepared a free upgrade. With the release of Green Hell for 9 th generation devices, Creepy Jar will stop providing updates to previous versions of consoles. The technological capabilities of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One devices no longer allow new content to be added to the game and maintain the quality that is a priority for developers.

The studio continues to work on its production called StarRupture, developed on the Unreal Engine 5. It will be an advanced base building simulator with survivalist elements, embedded in the science- fiction setting. StarRupture will stand out from the games already available on the market, in particular classic base-builders, thanks to such mechanics as exploration, combat or resource
management. The game in the early access version will be an extensive production with a co-op mode for up to 4 players, which the studio plans to further develop intensively. In the first half of 2024, the studio has made two devlogs available, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the creation process of the game, and is currently working on further promotional materials. The release date of StarRupture has not yet been set.

The final financial data for the first half of 2024, together with comparable data, will be provided by the Company in an interim report, which will be published on 19 September 2024.
